Software Engineering - Freelance (2020 August - 2020 October)

Completed the back-end of an E-Commerce application’s API from scratch using Spring Framework (Kotlin)
Wrote unit and integration tests using jUnit5.
Designed an automated CI/CD pipeline for building, testing, and deployment which saved around 10 minutes per deployment.
Used docker-compose for easy deployments independent of the deployment environment.

Optimized all Dockerfiles for the microservices that reduced the build times by 80% by using cac
Wrote unit and integration tests for micro-services which decreased the failure rates by at least 40% on deployments.
Built duplication service which managed duplicate files on S3.
Interviewed 2 people for software engineering positions.

Software Engineering Intern - TurkAI (2019 June - 2019 September)

Developed scalable microservices that achieve various goals (NDA). Dockerized all modules used in the project and deployed on Kubernetes.
Integrated queue system between microservices using RabbitMQ.
Integrated Redis and utilized caching to decrease lookup time.
Used NLP tools to extract information from natural texts and trained a model that had 88% accuracy on extracting necessary information.
Leveraged caching for faster model loadings, which reduced loading time by 95%.
Set up a CI pipeline that automated testing, coverage analysis and, deployment.

We made this app, as a group, as part of our Web Development (Backend) course where we used pure PHP for the backend and React for the Frontend. My part was building the REST API for the app.
